We found the room spotless clean and the beds very comfortable. "The staff were very nice. Bushi-san was busy on my day of arrival (they have a lot of activities in Kamakura), but they left me a welcome packet with all the information. I met Bushi-san the morning after for breakfast. I also got to meet Yoko-san. She was very kind.
The guesthouse is small, and the building is old and charming. I slept on a futon in a room equipped with tatamimats and traditional screen doors. It was amazing to sleep in a traditional room. The futon is perhaps on the thinner...

"My wife and I wanted to “slow travel” for a few days and found this place on VRBO. It’s a 100-yr old traditional coastal home.
It is directly across the road (there is a convenient tunnel under the road) from Zaimokuza and Yuigahama beaches and there is a bus stop right outside the door for a 15 min ride to/from Kamakura Station. The #40 bus is reliable and easy. Don’t bother with a taxi.
It is also a 15-min walk to the Enoden train, which follows the coastline and goes to Hase and Enoshima...
