Hongxingju Inn
Other than the fact that no one was there when I arrived and I had to call and wait for them, things were great. The hot water also took a while to arrive and didn't last long. But the staff were helpful and the location was close to most of what you want to see in Pingyao.

Pingyao Hongyuyuan Inn
The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. ...

The hotel is incredibly beautiful, very clean and the staff is like no other. They really helped us during our stay and were super nice.

Pingyao Ji Family Courtyard Inn
The room we stayed in was nice. It was very dusty in Pingyao. I asked for clean towels on the second day of our stay because they were dirty. It was an awkward conversation, clearly they did not want to provide clean towels. In the end they didn’t and we were left to use dusty dirty towels.

Yide Hotel
Great hotel! The building complex itself is one of the most beautiful in Pingyao. Tucked away on a quiet corner near the main street. Really convenient car transfer from the train station. Good restaurant.
