"Our apartment was perfect: very clean inside, two bathrooms, everything worked perfect, beds very comfortable, inside the ancient walls and easy to get to everything. The only minor issues were first entering the steps up were dirty and then the door lock was fussy. But then walking in was perfect and I have no problem giving 5 stars."

"I had a wonderful stay at La Vita e Bella in Dubrovnik’s Old Town. My room (Room 1 at La Vita e Bella IV) was recently renovated, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches. It had a small espresso maker with pods, a teapot, a tiny safe, and even fresh fruit. The bed was so comfortable, with soft white robes, luxurious towels, and a beautiful bathroom featuring both a large tub and separate shower. "You will get the best view of Dubrovnik old town from almost everywhere in excelsior hotel. Breakfast is very good both in variety and quality. Rooms are in good standard, very clean and comfortable. Service are excellent. A bit pricey but if you don’t mind spending more for nice view and service, this hotel is a very good choice. Walkable distance to and from the old town (~10min)"

"Only downside is bathroom has glass walls that you can pull drapes for privacy but sadly no ceiling. If you need privacy to do your business it might not be the best choice. Other than that it is a great space up several flights of stairs."

Half those nights there were large concerts in the Stradun (including on New Years Eve), but with the windows closed we slept through the noise. "beautifully restored, very comfortable, just a few rooms and guests. Very quite. Rooms were lovely and well appointed. Just a couple of comments, the curtains were very hard to pull/close and the music system for the restaurant was just under the window of our room. It is portable and could be moved around the corner. "

"The staff was incredibly friendly and flexible when we ran into a small snag with our baggage. The room was clean, and centrally located just off of the main shopping strip. Lots of restaurants within immediate walking distance. We would stay again!"

"The property was extremely well kept. It was close enough to Old Town and in a great location. The contact was extremely responsive and provided great information that made accessing the property super easy. The only complaint, if any, is that the bathroom is very tight. Not a real problem for us, however those that want a little more space may be a little disappointed with the bathroom. Overall I give our stays 4.5/5 stars. "
