"Unique property, next door to York Minster, large beer garden, great food and good selection of well kept ale. Staff were excellent throughout."

"All the staff super friendly and the room was very big and clean. The mattress wasn’t great though and the noise travelled through the rooms- people above were quite noisy. Breakfast had good options but the scrambled egg on toast wasn’t great- should’ve done the full English! Would stay again but the bed could be comfier and hopefully not as noisy people above next time."

"The Lighthorseman is in an excellent position - a short walk into the city and regular buses to the city centre, the retail outlet centre and Selby. Value for money is excellent. Dan the owner and all the staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make the stay good. The breakfast is amazing!
