What stood out was the kindness of the staff. I arrived 5 hours before check-in. The desk clerk suggested I do a little sightseeing around the area. But I was exhausted from traveling so I laid on a tile bench. After a few minutes, the clerk told me that the manager, a Vietnamese American, had given permission for me go to my room immediately.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The location is fantastic — the surrounding area has everything you need, from all kinds of food and drink options to convenient markets. The room itself is dated but very clean and spacious. It comes with a fridge and a small seating area, which made the stay more comfortable. The common space is relaxing and a nice spot to unwind. The gentleman at the front desk is always there, friendly, and ready to help. You can always find an answer when you need one, and having someone consistently at the front is reassuring. During the rainy season, he even offered me an umbrella before I had the chance to ask — truly great customer service. I was assigned a room farther away from the front, so I didn’t hear any street noise — a big plus if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, a great value stay in a super convenient location.

Excellent Stay with Superb Convenience!

I recently stayed at Minh Chau Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and was thoroughly impressed! The hotel offers great value for money with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff who made my stay enjoyable. One of the biggest advantages is its prime location—just a short distance from Saigon Railway Station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers catching a train. Additionally, it’s easily accessible from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which was a huge plus for me as I arrived late at night. The surrounding area has plenty of local eateries, shops, and attractions, so you’re never far from the action. Despite being in a lively area, the hotel itself was quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend Minh Chau Hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for a comfortable, well-located stay in Ho Chi Minh City. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!

Room was very clean. Shampoo, body wash and toothbrush provided. A bath mat and Hand towel would have been useful. Bottle water is available for purchase at reception I believe. Tv, fridge, aircon amc fan. Has an elevator. Hotel arranged for motorbike rental 150k a day delivered and picked up from Hotel. Parking is inside the hotel gates.

古いホテルでしたけど、飲食店やコンビニ、スーパーも近くにあってとても便利でした。ホテルに快適性を求める人には向きませんが、オーナー？が4階に住んでいて、猫5匹、アヒルや鶏などもいて、彼らがとても気さくで親切。時に果物切ってくれて「どうぞ」と。英語も堪能なので意思疎通も容易にできてとても快適でした。リピートすると思います。

Trevlig personal men något ohygieniskt

Vi bokade vistelsen i förväg då vi tänkte stanna en dag i HCMC och sedan åka vidare. Eftersom vi blev tvungna att stanna längre i stan skrev vi ett mail och frågade om vi kunde flytta datumet för vistelsen eftersom vi bodde på ett annat, mer centralt hotell de första dagarna. Vi fick snabbt svar att detta inte var något problem. När vi väl kom till hotellet var personalen mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Rummet var generellt rent och fixat, men i badrummet var det fullt med myror. Vi såg även en råtta springa över golvet och in i ett förråd i entrén. Vissa saker var trasiga och slitna. För priset var hotellet värt det och personalen var mycket hjälpsam. Närheten till tågstationen är ett plus, men annars är läget väldigt avlägset från staden.

Totally satisfactory. I am fastidious about cleanliness and I was satisfied with the room, which was very clean. No unusual odors or any other red flags. A/C was strong. The staff was very servicial and friendly . Upstairs on the fourth floor they have a breakfast area where they can make American style breakfast (fried eggs and coffee). And they can book a taxi or Uber-type car service to take you to the airport or wherever. Definitely would stay here again.

Nice location, excellent staff, disappointing room

Staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn't rate them higher!!!!! Bed and pillows uncomfortable, glass door only to bathroom meaning little toilet privacy. Rooftop restaurant very pretty but mostly abandoned and the one time we ate there the food was terrible. Also the restaurant is only open 9am to 5pm which was inconvenient (not that I'd eat there again). Overall OK. Staff very helpful though.

Great Stay try it out

Stayed 2 days. Clean, peaceful, have rotating shift staff that speaks English, Mandarin and Vietnamese. Slightly far from city but just a few minutes with Grab service. Interesting antique TV that still works perfectly.
