"This was such a find! Stayed one night with friends in a private room while we hiked in the Brecon Beacons and it was perfect for what we needed. Perks included - plenty of drying rooms (it rained the whole time we were there so this was very much needed!), restaurant and bar, cosy lounge with fire and board games, and a sink in the room. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and great location. If I'm in the area again I will definitely come back."
"Thank you for our lovely stay. We just came back from our 2nights stay and the place is absolutely stunning and would highly recommend. Rooms perfect with en suite and views when sat outside were amazing. Loved watching the red kites . Central to all walking spots and hosts were friendly and nothing wasnt too much trouble for them. "
"Another lovely stay at the hotel, always welcoming and enjoyable to stay here. Only negative was our room was not ready as promised at 3pm, or at 4pm when next promised. Other than the waiting around, no issues."
"A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together.
There were just a few things we thought to mention:
1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated.
2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on...
"Had a fabulous stay, staff were absolutely brilliant. Room was lovely and the location was idyllic. We travelled with our dog and she also had a great stay, especially with the on site dedicated dog walk! We will definitely be back"
"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
