"Great hotel. It is a bit dated. The room & linens were dated/worn. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is indeed one of the BEST I've had. Location is 8min walk to the Ferry port and 10 min. walk to the tourist pedestrian street. Our room faced the back and I was quite worried as it looked down onto a street which had a disco/nightclub and a strip club but there were no issues and we couldn't hear a thing. Roof top restaurant has great views. Food was decent but a bit pricey. Pool deck is nice...

"My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay, 5/5. The host Stelios is very welcoming, helpful and kind. The mansion is beautiful, our room was amazing with a private balcony and the pool looks over the valley and Heraklion. Go to the village restaurant Stelios recommends, it was one of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. I saw a review complaining about a dog, the property has a fence around it and a gate so I don’t understand the complaint. I also didn’t hear or see a dog and the area seemed...

"Wonderful breakfast, lovely room. A bit of mix up regarding city tax that was collected upon checking in and again at check out. No one informed us the tax was per night. I would have thought all taxes would have been collected at check in."

"We only stayed here for a night to be close to the ferry port. It was a cute boutique hotel, with a rooftop restaurant with incredible views overlooking the harbor. Recommend for an affordable stay."

"Hotel Sofia is a very nice, well appointed hotel near the airport. Some late afternoon aircraft noise, but no problem overnight. On a side street so quiet, but only 100yds to public transport to city. Also a range of shops and eateries in same area. Pool area good. Breakfast had a good selection. Would recommend. Staff very friendly and helpful."
