"We enjoyed our stay at Newcastle Arms hotel plenty parking space, nice room compact but adequate ,very clean , plenty of tea and coffee amenities.breakfast was excellent so much choice and the black pudding was second to none, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonably priced break."

"Had a 2 night stay. Booked this property as it had an elevator and travelling with an elderly parent with reduced mobility. On arrival late in the evening we learned that both elevators were out of order. We were on the 3rd floor with no other suitable rooms available. With assistance from staff and another guest we made it to the room. We were able to switch to a lower room the next morning. All staff were very apologetic and went out of their way to help us make the stay positive...

"Staff and food were very good but stay was let down by a few niggles. I had booked a table for dinner but there was no record of it when I arrived. I had also asked for a room with a walk in shower but didn't get it. The biscuits on the tea tray were the smallest pieces of shortbread I have seen made worse by having no biscuits at all on my second night. "I would normally say nothing rather than write a bad review but this place was so bad - the room in particular, the fact that no one cared and it showed , the lack of maintenance or bothering about customers , i think other guests should be aware. "My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Marshall Meadows Manor House. We stayed one night, but ate dinner and the included breakfast at the hotel. The room was clean, the food excellent, and the staff genuinely helpful. The manager assisted with luggage, provided us with helpful advice for our destination the following day, and was very attentive while also serving at the restaurant. "I confess that I was a bit disappointed when I first arrived - but the room was big and well appointed with an updated bathroom, and changed my tune., it’s walking distance to everything in town. It wasn’t hot inside during the heat wave, hurrah! The building itself is a bit shabby but the room was great. Very noisy at night so bring earplugs.
