"Nobody at the property when we arrived, had to wait 10 minutes for the housekeeping lady to arrive. She was great and very apologetic. Room was freezing on arrival."

What really stood out was the staff—everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel very welcome and added to an already enjoyable experience. "We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. "

"The place had a lot of potential, it just felt neglected and unloved. They had gone to a lot of effort to supply breakfast items in the shared kitchen and it was obviously visited each day by a host as it was tidied and rubbish cleared but some cupboards had random packets and crumbs,the salt and pepper pots were dirty and sticky. Friendly staff, nice brekkie & recommended if you are visiting the area & don’t want to be in the middle of it all but still easily accessible if you want to go into either place. Very nice!"

"The service was great, though my suggestion is that it is difficult to pair with an extended stay when you booked a short stay. The long-stay owners were extremely loud on the last day. Overall, a three-star from me, just because the service was good."

"We stayed for four nights. The very nice lady that owns the cottage, Nesta, had made cake for out arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, downstairs a shower. Kitchen was very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and there was a utility room with a freezer and washing machine. "The cottage is lovely and comfortable and well equipped for a family of 4. The small holding that it was on is located in a nice little village with a great pub a couple of doors away. The children loved having the alpacas close by and would go and visit them every morning. Beds were comfortable, the shower was nice and powerful. We would definitely stop again if we were visiting the local area. "
