Lovley Hotel

A great few days staying close to family. Great connections to both bus and tube into the city. Lots of choice for breakfast and our room was spacious and comfortable. Area was a tad run down, but very close to the park.

Everything went smoothly from the welcome at thw reception. The room was spacious, the view from our room was great, everything was very clean. The bar staff was very friendly, The hotel is very close to the subway and it’s about 20 minutes away from downtown. On weekends, the public parking outside is free.

The staff were helpful giving directions. The breakfast was good. The area had limited restaurants and there was nothing to see as it was a business district. I chose it as it was marginally cheaper than other places that didn’t have gym facilities, it had promised a spa but that wasn’t functional, locked with promise of repair.

I liked the location to the places I needed to go. Also the quietness for sleep. The shower where to me too slippery-thank goodness for the instilled holds. The sink had the turning of the ater quite in awful location to use.

My room had a very nice overview of the park and the Hamburg area. First thing that I did after dropping off my bags at the room was to take a walk through the park, there is also a Planetarium located in this park that I did not get around to visiting - next time. The S-train stops are a short walk away and run very frequently, there's also a bus stop 5min walk away just around the corner from the hotel - this way you can plan your journey together via S-train and bus and have a shorter walk compared to walking all the way from any of the two the S-train stations.
