Bed was broken, couldn't find tv remote, hair in sink, stuff on toilet, bathroom didn't look clean, water damage above bed.. But I mean hey, for 56.20 and the location, I guess we can't say much else Pillows were comfy.

It did the job

I spent 4 nights while a tourist in Hamburg. Hotel Altan did the job for me. It's a couple of short blocks from the U-Bahn station and a 20 minute walk to the center. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was lively but my room was quiet.

Brief visit

Delightful gentleman checked us in. It is a good bang for your buck when traveling on a budget. Several eateries in the area and some shops.

Ok for the price

It was ok for the price,15 mins from u bahn, reasonably clean, shower etc, hadnt been swept under the bed in awhile, the pillow needs to be changed, the cover was clean but the pillow is really old, i was suprised that on checking out i was instructed to just leave the key in the room, the room couldnt be locked obviously so anyone could go into it and do God knows what after i left, there was alot of industrial sounds, like engine sounds even if you shut the window, now Hamburg is a working port city so.....

Ghetto hotel in loud area

This hotel does not look like in the pictures, in real life it’s old and sketchy and it is in a very loud area, you can hear all the yelling and cars when you’re trying to sleep with the window opened because It doesn’t have A/C or a fan during summer time, it does not have a reception like in the pictures and no one who can give info for tourists. Rooms are clean but toilet doesn’t flush very good

-Wasserflecken + Schimmel an der Wand und am Fenster -Toilettenspülung sehr schwach+ Dichtung bei der Dusche kaputt, ganzer Boden nass -Licht im Badezimmer funktioniert nicht Ich weiß dass es relativ günstig im vergleich zu den anderen Hotels ist. Aber da ist nicht mehr der Preis Wert dort zu schlafen. Wir hatten gemeldet dass das Licht im Bad nicht funktioniert und es wurde nichts dagegen gemacht und gesagt dass es morgen gemacht wird (wo wir auschecken).

Es steht Bar und lounge und ich mein auch Cafeteria aber nicht ist da. Es wird wahrscheinlich die läden in der Umgebung gemeint. TV ist auch angegeben, er war auch da aber es war keine Fernbedienung aufzufinden. Es war nicht einmal ein kühlschrank geschweige Mal ein Stuhl da. An den Wänden waren Wasser fläcke und auch Risse. Die Tür im Bad war unten kaputt und es da aus als wäre das Bad schon ein paar Mal überflutet worden. Und zu allem müssten wir noch 18€ kosten oben drauf zahlen weil wir dort nicht gewohnt hatten...

Hotellet var fint rent, ikke fancy, men et fint sted at sove. God placering. Indtjekning var ikke nemt, da receptionisten ikke talte så godt engelsk og derfor startede med at sige, at han ikke havde vores værelser. Da misforståelsen blev rettet var det et ok ophold. Der var en del larm fra gaden.

Slidt, billigt, centralt

Vi havde først og fremmest valgt hotellet fordi der stod at der var fri parkering og ladestander til bil på hotellet. Det var der ikke! Vi havde 10 minutters gang til den P-plads med betaling, som vi blev anvist. Der bliver opkrævet skat ved ankomst, som vi ikke var orienteret om, og forventningen var at vi havde kontanter, men da vi holdt fast i at vi ikke havde, viste det sig at ejeren under stor ærgrelse trak en kreditkortterminal frem. Hotellet er gammelt og slidt, og håndvasken var stoppet, men derudover var der rent og sengene var ok at ligge i. Det ligger centralt, og er billigt, og man får hvad man betaler for.
