"Rooms are ok. Beds reasonably comfortable. Onsens are great after day of skiing. Location is good too. Very friendly staff. Buffet is ok, nothing to write home about. "

"100% recommend! The staff are all super helpful. Breakfast and dinner are delicious! When we first arrived at Hakuba station, the hotel said they will arrange a pick up for us. The moment we stepped out of the station, the hotel staff was there waiting with a signage that made it easy for us to find. He was even willing to bring us to a nearby convenient store to buy stuff if needed, even though we didn't need to. At the hotel, we managed to get early check in which was great and allowed us to get our ski equipment and lesson for the kids at 2pm. The hotel staff was very helpful and pointed us to nearby places where we can quickly get our gear and lessons. We managed to get the last lesson slot for the day at Iimori with an English speaking instructor. For the next day, there were no more lessons available at Iimori but the hotel managed to helped us book the last Chinese speaking instructor at Hakuba Goryu, which was great. We can speak English and Chinese, but not that much of Japanese. The hotel staff was even so kind to send us over to Hakuba Goryu as we had two young kids, so we don't have to walk a bit to wait for the shuttle bus. On our last day, we used the new ski equipment rental shop right at the hotel and just walked across to the slopes to snowboard. We managed to get a morning session in after we check out and leave our bags with the hotel. After which the hotel staff send us to Hakuba station to catch our train! Thank you and loved our stay!"

"The breakfast was wonderful. Something for everyone. Also the daily outdoor winter lunch was very good too. One night we had the Chef’s dinner and it really was excellent. No point arriving before your room is ready because there is literally nothing to do, even though the room may be ready, you can’t have it till 3pm. "

"I have visited this property four times since 2012. The hotel is beautifully nestled in the forest and lit up with pin lights, the rooms are lovely and spacious and come with a deep plunge bath. It is convenient to walk to the slopes, on the main shuttle service and one can walk to surrounding restaurants, bars and ski rentals. But what stands this hotel apart is the impeccable service from the amazing staff. During ski season they lay out your warm ski/boarding boots at the door, and they help you get transportation to the lifts. At the end of the day they greet you at the door with a smile, take your wet gear and swap back your warm personal shoes. There is a lovely lobby for an apre glass of wine and a fireplace for roasting marshmallows. They help you find reservations to dinner and help you sort transportation to and from. I travel globally for work and leisure, from the smiles to the can-do, and truly helping guest I have found rare a team that could exceed in provincially my an amazing experience. So hotel I give top marks, and for the hotel staff, double that. 👍👏🙏"
