"The rooms need updating, and the hotel is not very nice on the inside. If you’re looking for a better experience, the Hilton Garden Inn is a much better stay.
I will never stay here again.
I was falsely charged a $250 smoking fee after my stay. The hotel claimed a smoke detector went off in our room one time, yet it never went off again for the remainder of our stay. What’s even more concerning is that the detector is hidden behind the nightstand and does not make any audible sound, so there was no way for us to know there was supposedly an issue.
I am not a smoker and never have been. I immediately disputed the charge with the front desk, but was told there was nothing they could do. No proof was provided beyond their claim, yet they still charged my card $250.
I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never experienced anything like this. Being accused of smoking when I don’t smoke and then being charged without any meaningful way to dispute it is unacceptable. Very disappointing customer service and a frustrating experience overall."
