"If you are a decent family and want a peaceful place to stay. I DO NOT recommend this. It was terrifying experience for me, as I entered junkie ( unhoused man) approached us for a pack of cigarettes and insisted us to give him a ride so he can buy those. We were not feeling safe by his approach so we told him we will go and buy it for him, just so he doesn't bother or harm us in future. But he insisted and we couldn't run as it was midnight time. "We loved our stay at the Don Valley Hotel and Suites. The room was very clean and the bed was super confortable. A member of the cleaning staff was so helpful when we asked her directions to the theatre. We loved the outdoor balcony and enjoyed our morning coffee there. A few things that would have worked better for us would have been not to be facing the front of the hotel as we were on a lower floor, you could hear everything happening outside clearly. The windows have no sound proofing. While we stayed, one elevator didn’t work so you had to wait 15-30 minutes during busier times. Take your uber and go. Place is ok for a short stay. I wasn’t expecting much and they delivered what you pay for. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is close to downtown core. Just reasonable price in the crazy hotel market of Toronto. I would stay again if needed."

"We enjoyed the location of the hotel. The staff was overall friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks to pick from. The hotel was pretty clean and relatively updated. However, details of the spaces were not all up kept perfectly missing buttons on the headboard, shower head not installed properly. "Arrived at our 3pm check in time which turned to us getting into our room at 3:50pm. Made us rush to get ready for a concert that started at 6:00pm. Venue was 50 minutes away. Was disappointed in having to wait almost an hour for our room. They didn’t mention on the website there was a 100$ fee for having a pet stay with you. Had to pay that extra. Pet thing may of been my issue as I haven’t hotel stayed with a pet before. Room was clean and decent, staff was nice."

"Excellent staff, room, and views. The was a park close by to walk dogs also. Espresso machine, pods, and water in the room was wonderful surprise. Short drive to the famous market. The only unexpected thing was that there are a lot of polite homeless we saw around the area."
