Theatre Royal Hotel Kumara
Not as good as when I stayed a couple of years ago. The room wasn’t very clean and the shower gel and shampoo had run out and not been replaced. Was quite musty smelling which wasn’t great for hayfever. Was quite disappointed.

At the time of writing, this hotel has a 9.2 on Expedia. That is truly absurd. This hotel is old (they don’t call it “historic” for nothing) and run down (featuring peeling wallpaper, a saggy matress, threadbare carpet and a kitchen that looks like it was built in the 80s). Beachfront Hotel
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room, we had an ocean front room great view and nice to hear the ocean roaring at night. Balcony was just concrete looked a bit average. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Did have dinner at the restaurant which was okay, would try else where next time.
