Bayside Boutique Hotel - Blue Bay Golf & Beach Resort

"My wife and I stayed at Bayside Boutique Hotel. All the staff were wonderful, but a special shout-out goes to Queenie and Melissa. The hotel is in a large gated resort called Blue Bay, which is so huge it requires a car to get around (tip: rent from R&R). The hotel is right next to the stunning Blue Bay beach. It has 38 rooms built on the side of a hill, where rooms 1xx are on the same level as the restaurant, 2xx are on the same level as the pool, 301-304 share a small balcony overlooking the pool, and 401-404 have large private balconies. We were in 402, so lots of climbing up stairs, but worth it for the view. A road at the side of the hotel has ample free parking, so we could park almost right outside our room and avoid all those steps. We had a bedroom with safe/TV, living room with couch/TV, a small but fully equipped kitchen, and a large bathroom with separate bath/shower/double sinks. Electrical outlets are 240v and accept 2 cylindrical prongs, so north Americans need a converter and adapter. Every morning we had a wonderful cooked breakfast included in our package, and a choice of restaurants at the beach serving everything from snacks to fine dining. Just outside the resort is Baby Monkey food truck (good burgers), Centrum grocery store, and Sambil shopping center. In summary, Curacao is a wonderful place to visit, and Blue Bay is a beautiful resort with an outstanding beach. Within the resort, there’s no better place to stay than Bayside Boutique Hotel. "Must book location, my only regrets is that I did not stay longer. Very spacious, secure, clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. Perfect location to be near every activity on the island. I will definitely return again !"

"Stayed in The Ivy. Booked a 1 bedroom apartment but was given a 2 bedroom apartment upon check-in. Loved the extra space ! Apartment was beautiful and clean. Kitchen was stocked with all things needed to cook/bake. Balcony was spacious. Online pictures are accurate to in person sights. If traveling from US bring power adapter or ask front desk to borrow one. One suggestion would be to have long mirrors in apartment. Was unable to get a complete look of outfit after getting dressed. Only con was property being isolated so nothing was in walking distance. Even the beach that is advertised is about a 30 min walk from the reception desk. Once you check in the associates will get you to your room using their golf carts and pick you up on day of check out but in between you are on your own to get around which can make things difficult."

"Beautiful view of Play Lagun,also easy access. Bahia bar/restaurant had decent food at good prices. We were surprised by the size of the room and it having two bathrooms. Had some very noisy neighbors for one night but otherwise an excellent stay."

"Everyone (staff) was so hospitable and pleasant from the moment of arrival through check-out. The food wasn’t as bad as I expected after reading the reviews but not a lot of options. We upgraded to the preferred package, which I would definitely recommend because it includes premium drinks and more perks. The rooms had a wet mildew smell from water damage but it wasn’t overbearing. This resort could definitely use some upgrades and renovations but overall, it was pretty lively and fun, and for the price point, it’s a good option."

"This property is an amazing location overlooking playa Lagun. The couple managing the lodge were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The restaurant on site was very good. Don’t miss the Thursday night bbq. Amazing! The accommodations were simple but comfortable and functional. We had everything we needed! Can’t wait to stay there again!"

"Overall it was a good stay, the only drawback was that there was no AC in the living room areas so watching TV was uncomfortable and the couch was also uncomfortable. Other than that, it was quiet and private, we weren’t bothered throughout our stay and that was good. You can request iron and towels etc even though we didn’t; but I prefer to have what I need on hand. Overall, not a bad stay"
