"What a wonderful experience!! Charming farmhouse with incredible views! The owner was very friendly and a great host. Rooms were nice with comfortable beds."

"Such a lovely stay. The staff were excellent and would go out of their way to help you. They even came looking for us when we got lost on a bike ride! Our room was lovely and the whole place has been restored bewutifully in a way that oozes rustic charm with modern comforts. I loved the no chlorinated pool. The surrounding birds and the almond, orange and olive trees make it a little paradise. Great for bird spotting too. The place is so peaceful that the only noise we heard at night was the Eurasian thick knee (yes, we had to look it up too). An extraordinary bird! The breakfast and dinner were delicious. Minor faults were an undercooked boiled egg and an overcooked tuna steak, but all in all the food was very good and delivered by such friendly, guest focussed staff that I didn't like to complain. We hope to return!"

"We loved our stay. The accommodation, the setting, the grounds were great. The location was close to discovering amazing small towns and the remarkable Villa Romana and the beautiful countryside around. Our only quibble would be with the main courses at dinner. "

"Beautiful, clean room. Interesting, stylish and quirky design throughout the property. Lovely breakfast with eggs cooked fresh to order (order the night before). Wonderful staff - our arrival was delayed and sat nav got us lost but the guy stayed late, came and found us, called ahead to a restaurant so we could still get served, and all with a big, friendly, welcoming smile. Exceptional service, thank you so much."

"A clean hotel, but very busy area with virtually only street parking in area. Staff tried to hold our passports after we arrived and said that they would give them back later, which we refused. Nice breakfast area and staff."

"Wonderful experience. We had 6 accommodations during our trip in Sicily, and this was by far the best of them. Clean, modern and elegant. Spacious and comfortable room. Nora was beyond helpful checking us in. She helped us get take out dinner from the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, and she let us eat in the breakfast room which was already set up for next morning's breakfast. She also served us drinks. If that wasn't enough, she suggested places to go and helped us plan our days, and even made reservations for dinner at a restaurant. I'd definitely recommend it and would stay here again."

"Lo Zafferaneto is an amazingly beautiful property with carefully decorated and furnished rooms (everything is spotlessly clean). All staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome and at home immediately. If you are a foodie you are in the right place! The owner is an absolutely fantastic chef (I highly recommend the boar ragu and deconstructed tiramisu). Breakfast is also very delicious. The place is quite remote in the mountains, it’s quiet and peaceful, but you will definitely need to have a car to get around. "
