The property is completely on autopilot. More of a hostel than a hotel. I stayed for 10 days and never saw anyone cleaning anything including my room. I moved hotels today and found a much better option for less money within walking distance.

Awful stay

On arrival, could not locate the reception area or person in charge, was informed I had booked a room with no window, which is not confirmed within the booking, no toilet roll, no coffee or tea making facilities as was informed that the machine is broken, it was in a terrible state the rooms are outdated and not fit for disabled people at all, tight confined toilet with shower above so unhygienic 🙁

Great but needs some work

A lovely place and excellent location. Good staff and helpful. Place had lots of character and will appeal to those seeking something a bit different. Our room however was poor. Broken shower door, broken toilet seat, shower drain gurgling all night, very uncomfortable mattress. Toilet actually inside shower so everything gets wet including toilet paper. General upkeep and things like extra towels (unless asked) or toiletries (the usual hotel things) were not available. It overall I loved this place. It’s cool and historic and once they fix the infrastructure then it’ll be great. Thanks :)

Too expensive for aged, poorly maintained product

No one was available upon check in. After messaging customer service via whatsapp, it took a follow up message to have someone come check me in. Upon entry in the room - aircond remote was not working. Came down 4 stories to change the remote. Later the evening, realized bath towels were not in room, went down again to collect. At night, the room was so warm and I was told I couldn't get a room change because they're full (didn't appear so because many rooms had their lights off at 9.30pm). The attendant was kind enough to provide a fan after I asked. In the room, the mattress was thinning, I could feel the springs on my back. Shower head was repaired using tape and some light bulbs were blown. Water kettle had water in it when I arrived.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado. Pague para tener una bebida de bienvenida y desayuno. La bebida de bienvenida la tuve que pedir. Me ofrecieron un agua mineral… El desayuno te lo imponen. Ni siquiera preguntan si sos vegetariano. Todo estaba frío, cómo si lo hubiesen preparado hace dos horas. El gimnasio está al aire libre y está muy bien equipado con pesos libres. No tiene máquinas de cardio. El baño cuando te duchas se moja todo. La habitación que me toco no tenía ventanas Si buscas un hotel económico y bien ubicado para pasar 2 noches esta bien, sino mejor busca otra cosa.

This property needs a huge clean. The public spaces are dusty and dirty. As well, in six days staying at this place not once did housekeeping come through and clean the room. Room 411 has problems with mould and dust and the shower door is broken and allows limited access. The wifi is dead average. Fawlty Towers

Beautifully decorated. Good location. Got to request for extra items (if needed) before 8 pm. Otherwise, the request will be ignored. We repeatedly asked for towels but was only told that it will not be done until the next morning when we asked the staff at the reception again. Wifi signal was not stable and we could not connect for 2 nights. It's a very small room so take note of the square foot before booking. Lastly, the noise level from the streets was minimal. The walls between rooms are thin so noise from the neighbours can be heard.

Improvement needed in term of cleanliness

Definitely you get what you paid. With RM100+ per night do not expect too much on the condition of room and cleanliness. Found bedbugs when i flip the blanket. It might due to the wooden bedstead and no window. Room space very limited. Suitable for backpacker not for family vacation. Better bring small buggage as you will find there is not space for you to put ur buggage. Wifi is not stable.
