It’s an interesting hotel with a nice restaurant where we eat breakfast included, but some things are just a little odd, or perhaps normal by Japan standards. First of all there was no telephone in the room, not that I would have used it but it seemed odd. Secondly the room was extremely small as was the bathroom, though clean I must say. There was a bucket of toothbrushes and facial towels in the lobby for anyone to take if you forgot to bring with you, but should no have them been placed in the rooms? Anyway overall it was a nice place. There was no pool or Onsen on the property.

Incredibly thankful for staff allowing us to store our luggage for a few days prior to checking in! This made traveling between cities and islands way more enjoyable. We only stayed one evening at Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin however can say it is very convenient. Easy access to many amenities and shopping nearby, train station also within walking distance. Also enjoyed our breakfast buffet options and the welcome treat/time of happy hour in the lounge! The only feedback was the initial smell walking into the room, despite the hotel being a strict no smoking hotel. There was an odd smell but after opening window for a few hours, went away. Otherwise, excellent use of floor plan for those with lots of luggage.
