"It’s snowing when we’re here. The view from the room was picture perfect - snow-covered mountain, trees, and stream bank. The hotel is super clean and comfortable. All amenities are available. The room is spacious for two. The private onsen is good. The late night ramen was very good. The Japanese breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The shuttle service between the hotel and Shirakawago bus station is available and convenient. We would love to stay again."

"I greatly enjoyed my stay at Murataya, a fantastic little ryokan placed excellently along the Katamachi/Korinbo districts. The service was attentive and the rooms were clean, with delicious tea provided alongside an insulated pitcher to be prepared at one's convenience. The communal bathroom is functional and has an attached public but very small onsen. The host spoke good English as well as Japanese and was able to provide plenty of recommendations for locations to visit.

"We loved staying at this Ryokan!
It had a nice, peaceful atmosphere to it, and offered everything we needed. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly.
Every evening ended with a warm bath in the onsen, which we really enjoyed.
Upon arrival, we got a map of the area and som restaurant recommendations, which were very good as well.
I strongly recommend this Ryokan for a relaxing and authentic experience while visiting Kanazawa. "
