"This Parador is in a lovely location and is a wonderful historic building. Views from our room and from the terrace were beautiful. However, the place is rather let down by very indifferent staff. The lady on reception when we arrived was fine, but when we checked out, the guy on reception didn’t ask us if we’d had a nice stay, or even say goodbye! And the waiter on the terrace was extremely surly and ignored us for ages (seemingly choosing to serve all the Spanish people first, until I more or less stood in his way to give him our order!) Breakfast staff also quite grumpy and although breakfast allegedly continued until 11 and we were there at 9.30, lots of things had run out and were not being replenished (such as orange juice)."
"Property is very clean, recently remodeled. Check-in must be done with an app and was extremely cumbersome. We made reservations for a room with 2 twin beds. The confirmation we received also included a picture of a room with 2 beds, but our room had only a double bed. On our request to have it changed, the reply was simply: "we don't have it available". No apology or any explanation. The room was extremely small and sparse. Bed with 2 small nightstands and a wall closet. No chairs to sit on or anything else. Just enough space to walk around the bed even suitcases are in the way. Lighting is daylight bright and it feels like an office. Bathroom is very clean with a wonderful shower."
"Quaint, lovely boutique hotel in a charming town. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced at $8 per person. As expected with a boutique property, the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty, and free parking is located several blocks up the hill. You can stop in front of the hotel to load and unload your belongings, which is convenient.
Staff is not present 24/7, but they do provide an emergency phone number if anything comes up, which adds some reassurance."
"Lovely old Palace now a Hotel. Very clean, staff super friendly especially Alicia, and Juliette. Nice atmosphere, quiet and relaxing. Plentiful buffet breakfast. Bedrooms lovely and spacious. Parking on streets nearby, Tetuan Restaurant at the top of the road. Great location."
