Great location and they have everything you need for a day at the beach. Staff was amazing, very helpful and kind always asking if we had everything we needed. The beach is great, not crowded at all sunce it is only for those in the area. Will definitely come back!

It had no TV in the bedroom. The walk to the beach was nice
The cottage was pleasant, clean, and well stocked with towels, refrigerator, kitchen equipment. The beach was just a short walk from the cottage.
Our flight was delayed. I called to leave a message that we would be checking in late. I left 3 voicemails but did not receive a call back even when we got lost and could not find the cottage. We were not informed about the pool until the following day when we bumped into a staff member.
I would stay there again despite minor snaffus.
Cute little cottage walking distance from the beach. There was no toaster and not enough utensils for our family of 6. When we realized it, no one was in the office to ask.
Our room was not ready when we arrived so we went to the beach and waited for a call to let us know we could get into our room. We never got a call and noone was in the office so we moved into our room at 3:30. The electric didnt work in the bedroom so we had to moved all our stuff to a different cottage. Which worked out better. Cottage number 5 is very small and I would not recommend it but we were moved to Cottage #7 and that was much nicer. The best part of the place was that we could walk to a private beach. It was very quiet and not alot of people. We were also very close to several beaches which we would go to every morning for shelling. We also ate at a few restaurants in the area. Grouper ruebens at the Sunset Grill were amazing. I would suggest doing your food shopping before you get to the Island everything is very expensive at the local grocery stores. There is a nice Farmers Market on Sundays at the Library. Didn't have good luck finding unique shells but we will try again next year. There is so much to see and do on the island.
Old Florida charm, right off the beach. Very nice, quiet, secluded location but still right off San-Cap Rd and easy to get to everything. Used the kitchen for all meals and although simply furnished still had everything we needed plus a charcoal grill out in the lawn near tables and whatnot. Pool was just a short walk away. Plus Dee was amazing, super helpful and kind. Will definitely be going back again and again.
We were in Unit 5: TV only got one channel MSNBC which was replaced the next day. Microwave shorted out and smoked when we tried to use it, which they replaced. The Weather was cold and the only heat was an old oil electric heater. They did give us an extra blankets on our second day. But we did wake up the first night from the cold. Shower was so small the shower curtain touched your back as you showered. We are not big people but I have never seen a bathroom that small. There are larger bathrooms in campers. Office says they are there until 7 AM but after 6 they were gone. I was told if you read on the Office door there is a number to text, but not written on the check in documentation they hand you when you check in. Staff did try to help the next day but this was like camping.
Loved the proximity to the beach and the “extras” available for use ( beach wagons, chairs, pool use, umbrellas, even sand toys for children)! Our cottage was nice-not luxurious but clean and sufficient and nicely decorated. The availability of washer/ dryer use was a plus as well. The neighborhood was quiet and staff were friendly and available for concerns and helpful suggestions. I especially liked the small deck/porch area with outside table and grill nearby. My only suggestion would be for a screened in porch area due to the “no-see-ums” that can be a lil wicked, but I would definitely stay there again. Thank you all for a great get-away!
I loved the comfortable feeling and secluded feeling. Only update I would do is a sharps container which I took to fire department just up road which is fine. I have one at home n didn’t think to bring on my trip

Location, peaceful, quiet
The accommodations are beachy and may not be for folks who expect and value the big hotel resort atmosphere. However, if you look for the peace and quiet of a calming beach vacation, this is for you. No noise, no crowds, you feel like you own your own private beachfront property and without the servants distracting from the romance.
The only problem I have is with the mosquitos and no see ems, which are a pest. But anybody not being from San Diego might not have noticed.
Upon arrival found that app that I booked on did not book what I asked for. Staff very helpful and offered a 2queen bed at an upgrade? Decided to keep king cottage after seeing it and enjoyed our stay. I have stayed here before and wanted the screened in cottage closer to the beach.
What i loved the most is the quality of the people there, the facilities are in very good spot of the island private, relax and is perfect for a good scape from the city.

Dog friendly beach retreat
Vintage accommodations in a beautiful location. A good site for nature, not luxury. The cottage was clean but needed some new light bulbs. I would return for another peaceful stay. They were welcoming of my dog too!
The absolute best location. Located in a residential neighborhood, the beach is just a short walk away. Given the location, you'll most likely find yourself almost all by yourself as if its your own private beach. Decor hasn't been updated in the past 30 yrs probably, but everything else is so great, you won't even notice. Cottages are connected and you're close enough to your neighbors for some friendly interaction as you walk to and from the beach, but with impact windows and concrete between you, you'll never hear them once the doors are closed.
These are great bungalows very close to a secluded area of Sanibel Beach. The hosts have thought of numerous amenities such as wash down tables for the shells collected, beach chairs and wagons, even baskets of treats and towels for the dog. We are repeat guests and highly recommend this facility.
We stayed in one of the beach efficiencies and loved the location. There is a short walk to a uncrowded beach, but you have the use of a wagon to carry your chairs, towels, sand toys etc. Our unit was very clean and looked well cared for. The couple that manages the property took care of anything we asked for quickly.
Wow, what a great out-of-the-way place! Quiet neighborhood, away from the crowds. The cottages (we stayed in #10) were just great for our family of five. The staff was terrific, cannot say enough good about them. This place is a gem!
