"It was very old and although the room was pretty clean, there was no lamp or clock and the box spring was covered in plastic which on one side was heavily stained. Outside the room, the parking lot was only partially paved, most of the parking curbs were askew or moved and there was other junk."

"The rooms are well designed and comfortable. It had that Americana aesthetic but updated in a way that feels cool rather than kitschy. I loved the patio. The ambiance was everything. They even had the local Marfa radio station playing, which sounds like a small detail but it completely set the tone. The kitchenette was a nice touch too. There was a small fridge, French press, toaster oven, everything you'd actually use. As a solo traveler I wasn't cooking meals, but having a place to keep drinks cold and make a proper cup of coffee in the morning was perfect. There's no front desk staff on site but honestly you don't need it. They were quick to respond when I had questions and the whole setup just worked. This added to the Marfa experience."

"Atmosphere was very nostalgic. However did not have wash clothes in the bathroom. Beds were great. Great location. Near Marfa, Alpine and the McDonald observatory. "

"Dining room closed. Long wait for bar food. Bathroom in room awful. Front of Commode crowded up against tub. Claw foot tub fits decor but felt unsafe standing in it. I expect much more for this high price."
