"The hotel is in very shabby condition. A hole in our bathroom door had duct tape over it. The furniture was all chipped and dented. The bathroom was not well cleaned. The entire room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The air conditioner did not work well and we were warm all night. I would not stay here in the future. Staff (Tara) was nice at check in, but the man at the desk in the morning did not acknowledge us at all as we left."

"What hot tub? I don’t even want to give this place one star! They had to switch my room 4 times , first room air was broken so was the tv. Next room smelled like bug spray so strong it made my eyes burn. Tv also broken. Third room tv broken air broken smelled of bug spray none of these rooms was clean. Every bed had stains and dirty sheets the WiFi didn’t work and the breakfast was cold I paid way to much to stay in that crappy hotel. Not to mention my wallet was stolen by housekeeping I was told it was never found untill the house keeper swiped my card at the gas station "

"The Property faces Lake Lure which is a pleasant view. There's quaint restaurant around the corner. It had a nice little grassy doggy pad. And the hotel welcomes dogs sincerely love that and a few of the restaurant has outdoor seating so dogs are welcome."

"Well there are NOT 3 Hot tubs at this resort as advertised. There is ONE. It is small and attached to an indoor pool, full of children, and closes at 8pm. Also there is a 7$ per day fee to use it and this must be paid at the time of check-in. There isn't an option to pay for using the hot tub or amenities pass for just part of the stay. It's all or none. I ended up paying 70$ for 3 of us for 4 days and only used the hot tub for about 1 hr the day that we arrived. I inquired about a partial refund but was told by the resort to ask the place where you check in (which is about a 5-10 min drive away) and was told by the check in peope to ask the resort. #TheRunAround I just gave up. What a waste of money that was. 😑 Other thank that the room was pretty clean. The place is a bit dated. The TVs are old and only use local cable without Internet or sharing/casting capabilities. The nearest stores are a good 20 min drive. We did have a good time tho, overall. And the jacuzzi bathtub in the room kinda made up for the hot tub issue.... But I wish I would have known that there was only one hot tub on site and about the hours and fees before booking as that was my gf primary request. Idk that I'd stay at this place again, but if so, I would definitely plan my trip differently knowing what I know now. Hope this helps someone else.."
