I work in hotels, so it’s hard for me to really relax or sleep well in them. It was so nice here at The Stricklin, from checkin to checkout The bed was a king super comfortable and the bathroom was clean and they provided Dove shower products which my hair thanks you due to i forgot mine other hotels seem to buy the stuff that turns your hair into straw but none the less The Stricklin provides comfort and RR all while being in downtown florence restaurant and bar scene !!!

The Strickland is always very clean! Keep in mind it is upstairs from Flobama. But we were on the other side of the hotel so the music did t bother us at all!

A nice place for a relaxing getaway. The hotel was very quiet. Eventhough my room faced the main street it was very quiet. It has many food options in the area and a block away was a nice little park where I felt safe walking around it.

I thought the Deluxe room was excellent. Great bed and decor. The Keurig and mini fridge was nice - bathroom was good. The only drawbacks I noticed were that sometimes you would have to track down and wait for a front desk person. Also, had trouble getting bars of soap for our bathroom.

Great location and staff; my room was pretty dirty (flecks of black coming from the a/c, dirty floors, dirty baseboards and window sills, dirty mirrors, banged up paint — and I had to call in for a clean comforter.

The place was way cool in terms of being a nicely refinished, repurposed building. There's street parking only (which they can't do anything about because of the location) and it's a bit of a slog to drag bags from around the corner, but at least the parking is free overnight. The attached restaurant has amazing breakfasts, but it would be great if the room price included a breakfast voucher. Overall, we enjoyed the place quite a lot and would recommend it for a bit of a change from the usual big-chain hotels.

Nice property in downtown Florence, AL Have to parallel park on the block around from the hotel entrance. Hotel door is to the left of Big Bad Breakfast. My room overlooked the street in front of the hotel. I believe it's Court Street. There was some noise at times from the street, but I was able to sleep fine. I heard no noise from Big Bad Breakfast or the night club in the basement. I was on the 3rd floor. I would definitely stay there again. I was there to see Rewind of the Shoals perform next door, so it was very convenient for me. Everyone was very friendly and did an excellent job.

Boutique hotel with cozy rooms, clean and comfortable. There is no parking reserved for the hotel so it's advised to come before the busy dinner hours to find close street parking.

Second time staying there. The shower had a massive leak above it which did not deter me. I did bring it to the staffs attention and did not request compensation. However, I was surprised at their lack of concern. It was currently showing black mold growth, not mildew. It did not necessarily affect my stay because it was only one night but had it been multiple I would have been worried with the lack of concern shown

Too much noise If I could rate this property on its cleanliness, staff, and bed/pillow comfort, it would be a 5-star review for me. Alas, the hotel is located above a bowling alley and next door to a night club. The bowling alley was 3 floors down from my room, so it did not bother me, but the FloBama plays music on Friday and Saturday nights until 2 a.m. You aren't going to get any sleep if you are in an odd numbered room because it's on the side of the bar. Even with earplugs, I could hear the music of Garth Brooks and Lynard Skynard. I was also told that even numbered rooms get the noise off of Court Street. If you are near the door that separates the rooms from the drink machine/elevator area, you also get to hear the connecting door slam all night as people go through it. I think, if you were staying on a Sunday-Thursday, you would find this hotel to be a wonderful place to say, but you will not enjoy all the noise on Friday and Saturday nights. I also liked the convenience of the restaurants, especially the breakfast place next door, and right now, there is only parking on the street, which may mean you have to park and walk a distance from the hotel.

The hotel is awesome and staff were friendly However it was Friday night and we did not get to sleep until 2:30 when the traffic and party on the street below went home. The motorcycles 11:02 revving and playing Dwight Yokum was too much along with all the other cars with loud music. We heard the next day that Friday and Saturday nights are not when you want to stay there

Great place to stay. Would stay again.
Stayed 1 night. We hope to one back to Florence in future and stay again. Was fantastic stay. We were there on a Tuesday, stayed in Room 308. I don’t know about sound on weekends but was very quiet on a Tuesday. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel in a great location. Nice BBQ place for a late lunch directly across street. Stopped at Boiler Room downstairs for some happy hour food and drinks - good service and food/drinks there. Went next door go FloBama as they had live music and had great time there. Next day toured both FAME and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio which we thoroughly enjoyed. Parking was on street it we had no issues(and was free).

The only thing I really disliked about this property is that when staying on the second floor, although it was dark and the bed slept very well, it was SO loud at 6/7/8 am. You could hear every creaky floor and literally hear everybody coming up and down the stairs and walking above you. Other than being woke up and hearing everybody walking and slamming above us it was a good stay.
