"This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water. "Our room was great - good size and very clean. We had a fabulous view from our balcony across to the port of Amalfi. Breakfast was on the first floor balcony which also had a great view over the beach and port. Breakfast was not a buffet as we have been used to so options were limited but the coffee and staff were great! The location of the hotel was so central to everything in Amalfi town - the cathedral, restaurants, the bus and ferry stations. Highly recommend Hotel Residence in Amalfi. "

We so appreciated Angelo’s help with the luggage, and Maria and Ileana for everything else. Breakfast is served on a tray in your room, so decadent and romantic:). Our room had a huge terrace and a hot tub. Just a note— Rooms are up 4 steep flights of stairs. Baggage help is great!"

"Very nice hotel! We booked a room with an over look and a jacuzzi tub. The water didn’t stay warm enough to fill the tub, but the room was overall very nice. The views were beautiful, the staff so nice and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again! "

"The Hotel San Francesco is a beautiful property located across the main drive in Maiori from the bay. Our room was large and the bathroom and shower were fantastic. I would suggest a room with view of the Mediterranean Sea on the 3rd floor or higher. The staff are professional and friendly and there are many excellent restaurants in walking distance. "Beautiful ocean view from our room! Room was small but very nice! Perfect for 3 night stay! Beach view was great as well. Close to the ferries! It was hard to find, but a gentleman close by helped us with directions. Several stairs to climb but we didn’t mind. Very friendly women at check in!
