"First of all, the staff was amazing even though some of them admitted they didn’t wanna be there however, this is a 27-year-old property that was renovated in 2022 and it looks like it poor craftsmanship rust everywhere from these salt air, high moisture in the rooms over 70%. Dehumidifiers run constantly and the moisture capture buckets fill up in 8 hours. Unfortunately caught the wrong time of the year with severe seaweed issues. The entire property smelled like sewage all day long Food is just OK. Only one day on Sunday of Saint Croix traditional food all in all I would get this property of 4. Proceed at your own risk website pics are deceptive"

"Sandcastle hotel was an awesome place to stay. The front desk personnel were helpful at check-in explaining what was available as far as amenities during our stay. The only thing I can say is the continental breakfast offered at the check-in desk needs an improvement. Other than that, the hotel grounds are pleasant and well manicured. The room I choose had a nice veranda, a kitchen with a larger refrigerator, stove and a microwave. The beach was clean, water clear ( great for snorkeling ) with chairs and umbrellas. I will definitely stay there on my next trip back."

"Front lobby is gorgeous. Room needs a little tlc. Hair all over the floor when we checked in. Sheets were old and some parts see through from the age. Little stains on the pillows and sheets. Bathroom really small."

"Besides the roaches, the place was AMAZING. Drinks were great, food was filling. The property was under construction, but still very beautiful. The roaches really killed the vibe though. They seem to enjoy the bathroom and the curtains the most even though they are also present in the kitchenette. I think an exterminator would do them good. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Otherwise we had a great time. Would have been 5 stars if we didn’t have to deal with roaches in our room. Easy fix."

"This resort is AWESOME! Staff is super friendly and absolutely stunning views - well maintained - the owner Mrs. Elizabeth’s weekly Nature History Tour was an added bonus. She is very passionate about and very involved here at the Buccaneer Resort . Will for sure be back !"

"Really liked the room and balcony. What I didn't likewas there was no restaurant on property. You can't walk along the beach unless you go down to the landing. All and all not a bad property and the highlight was the Ama restaurant and I would highly recommend it."
