"Nice, bright, clean space. Checkin was guick. Room were good. Clean. Beds, as always are comfortable. Breakfast was good. This is a busy location. Great spot to walk to all the major sites in Bath. "

"The room was not clean when we entered. There were dead bugs in the tub and some unknown substance near the sink. The white towels had brown / red stains. We asked for a change of the towels and those also had brown / red stains. Hotel is pretty old - paint is flaking off everywhere. No slippers in the room (had to ask for it). No tooth brush / tooth paste. Calls to conceirge were not answered. In terms of staff, I expected them to move my bags into my room given I'd dropped off my bags with them prior to my check in and then went outside for lunch / to explore the city. Spa wise - pretty well equipped with 2 saunas, 1 steam room, 1 salt room and 1 ice room. "

"After an incorrect booking at another hotel - the Holiday Inn Express - IHG were on hand to help. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. At check in the member of staff explained the parking rules and confirmed a deal for reduced parking rate - Thank you Nella! I would highly recommend staying here and will be staying here again in the future! Thanks"

"As there is so much static coming from the floors and dry mops there was bits of fluff. The stand for the coffee/tea was not dusted. It was not obvious as to how to connect to Wi Fi. The TV was too big for the room and the sound would cut in and out of most channels available. "

"The staff were very friendly but the entrance and check in area was so underwhelming and stank of wee or a strange ammonia type cleaning fluid, as did the stairwell and hall areas. Not helped by the fact we had to wait some time to check in because the bar was showing a football game. I heard other guests comment on the smell as well at breakfast. For the price I would have expected much better pillows and a cleaner more high end guest reception. A bit grubby and unkept overall and more basic than the price indicated. I don’t think I would stay again, even if they had an offer on. On the plus side, road noise and bar noise was minimal."
