"The room had a strong perfume smell causing my allergies to flare. The building and surrounding area was in need of cleanup and maintenance. We were informed at the time of checkin that parking was $20/night which was not advertised on the website. The bedding was stained. The lodging was more like a hostel than a hotel."

"Inexpensive and d walkable to most all amenities. I ended up using a laundromat tgat is 20 minutes walking distance as the laundry facilities here required a $10 credit card that is purchased in another building."

"This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Halifax and its diverse night life. The rooms are luxurious, but we found our window shade was broken and it would not go down, so we had an early wake up with the sun streaming in. We attempted to contact someone using the texting system they used, but no one came. We told them again at checkout, and they said they would let maintenance know. When you are paying a premium amount for a premium hotel, you want to sleep in and enjoy every moment of...

"This hotel is in a great walkable location. The doorman was very helpful and parking was easy. Our room was clean and comfortable. One issue we had was a very short shower curtain which was strange. Would recommend it and would stay there again."

"I enjoyed the contactless check in/check out. Very seamless. They send you the passcode to the lock a couple hours before check in with all the details needed… wifi password etc. More hotels should be like this! 👏"

"The location of the property was excellent. Easy to access and Chocolate Lake is stunning. The highlight of the stay was the daily breakfast and the breakfast staff. They were extremely attentive and warm and helped our mornings start out great. Very happy with our stay and highly recommend this property for families."
