We stayed in Barley Cottage across the road from the hotel. It was fantastic for the 4 of us that stayed there. Staff are very attentive. The food in the hotel was excellent. Especially the breakfast. Lovely cosy bar and restaurant. Could not have asked for a nicer nights stay in the peak district.

Comfortable luxury

Stayed for one night on our way to visit friends. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and then a wonderful comfortable night's sleep before a fantastic breakfast in the morning. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and we particularly appreciated being shown how everything worked in the room such as the coffee machine and the Aircon. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!

Great stay

Stopped here to spend the night on the way to York. Fun popular pub with great food. Our cottage was lovely - clean and comfortable with a cute patio and gorgeous view out front. Perfect for our family of three.
