"Lovely country pub,spacious clean room with lovely big bathroom,really comfortable bed.Had a lovely evening meal, the waitress was really helpful and got our order in quickly after giving us the heads up that there were a lot of large parties in that evening and ordering promptly would be beneficial,food was amazing and good value. Breakfast the next morning was a wide choice and the hosts at the property were brilliant.Would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others."

"The historic aspect of the hotel is unique and quaint. The proximity to the river, the walking path into town thru the meadows and past gardens is stunning. The vistas of the countryside and flora and fauna were truly spectacular. Staff were helpful, rooms are snug - but clean and comfortable. A memorable stay. Will return & recommend to others. A great base point for visits to local sights such as the Salisbury Cathedral, Old Sarum castle ruins, Stonehenge, and the New Forest area."

"Unser Aufenthalt war super! Alles hat reibungslos funktioniert:) Wir wurden super lieb empfangen und bei Fragen wurde uns schnell geholfen. Das Auto konnte auf der Einfahrt geparkt werden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben rundum für alles gesorgt und und hilfreiche Tipps für Salisbury und Umgebung gegeben. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich (ein Lüfter für warme Tage wurde auch gestellt), man kann aber auch sehr schön draußen sitzen☺️ Das Frühstück war auch super 😊"

If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . "An interesting, slightly quirky but genuine old-style coaching house and all the better for it. Staff are excellent, breakfast great, dinner slightly more mixed - maybe should have gone for the pizzas. Lively and busy in the evening, nice and chilled otherwise."
