A beautifully situated hotel with a relaxing feel. It’s a bit of a way from the border which is also a pain to cross as you get hassled a lot. Negotiate hard for the taxi from the border. We started with one guy at $35 and ended up at $12 with another. We probably could have got it for $10.
The pool, like all the others we encountered on our trip, was freezing. Not sure why this can’t be heated a bit in the winter??
Our room had a dodgy cupboard light which went on and off every minute during...

The helpfulness of the staff, the support, the protectiveness , were all above and beyond expectations. We really liked the hotel, and its location about half way between Livingstone town and Victoria Falls. Several malls and restaurants are a short walk away. We do recommend the Protea- it’s a great option if the ultra pricey riverfront lodges or the further away town options don’t work for you. Very good breakfast options too! Also very cool to see zebras randomly walking down the hotel...

The welcome was amazing which my children loved and appreciated a lot. I am a Zambian who has lived and given birth to my children abroad. This was the first time I brought my children (24, 22 and 8 years old) to Zambia to fully embrace the culture and Avani gave us that. From the welcome to the night entertainment, and all the in-between surrounding activities were just phenomenal.
We could sit having a meal and the Zebras or impalas are also grazing just a few meters away from us without any...

The pool was lovely with great views across the nearby landscape. Not far from key attractions but do need a taxi. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. We had massages which were excellent and very reasonable. We ate 2 nights and the food was very good and again reasonably priced. Nice local dishes alongside more usual burgers etc. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend

Couldn't be better! Lovely rooms in great position on the river. Splendid food and charming and helpful staff. Partic thanks to manager Mark and guide Fabius.

Brilliant, can't wait to visit again. Everybody was so friendly and helpful , which is ideal if you're a single traveller like myself. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and it's so clean.

A comfortable stay in a hotel that offers very good value for the location. All staff were excellent. We were upgraded to a family suite which was very convenient. Would certainly recommend to families visiting the Falls, and on a budget.

Excellent staff (Mirriam, Matthews, Mike, Ernestine, Paulina all very friendly and helpful), good value for money for a private room, well laid out with pool, catering facilities and mix of dorms and private rooms, good location for access to everywhere. I had a wonderful stay especially as I spent more of my time inside the lodge than outdoors.

Gloria’s is like an oasis. A clean, well run B+B, and Gloria and her staff were always there to top up your cold, fresh juice, or give you a ride to town if they were going that way.
