"This was supposed to be a romantic getaway but it wasn't. The weather played a major factor. The hotel was ok a bit rustic they upgraded me to a suite but it didn't have any wifi or a working television. The food was amazing but there was little to do as far as excursions. The staff was very kind and were working hard to help us but this definitely fell short of 4 stars which I was expecting. To top it of they charged me $80 for the boat ride to the island as if I could get there any other way...

"The staff are friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The management team is the best I’ve seen at any location I’ve vacationed before. The honeymoon room was set up with rose pedals, kissing doves and wine. Also, now with covid testing requirements to renter into the USA, they have a partnership with a medical clinic that comes to the hotel for rapid testing. I had NO problems at the airport boarding my plane. Did I mention...some of the BEST Haitian food I’ve ever...

"The Beau Rivage was a very local hotel. The staff spoke very little English, which is something to be aware of if you don't speak French. The staff were very friendly, but didn't know much about getting around; how to arrange a visit to La Citadelle or the buses to the Dominican Republic. I went to another hotel to arrange this. "I had a very disappointing and unacceptable experience at this hotel. In the middle of the night, I woke up to find my bed and clothes completely soaked because rainwater was leaking through the ceiling. No guest should ever have to deal with something like this while sleeping. On top of that, the loby washroom and my room was dirty, the bed was creaking constantly, and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The overall condition of the room shows a serious lack of cleanliness and maintenance. This hotel clearly does not meet basic standards for guest comfort or safety. I strongly advise others to avoid staying here until major improvements are made."
