10/10
I was only in Denver for about 24 hours to meet my son and his roommate, who are students at WyoTech, and fly home with them for their break. I took this opportunity to get a some "me time."
I needed the hotel to be clean, comfortable, quiet, have food on site, and maybe offer me a drink at the end of the day. Outside of the amenities, I wanted a place close to nature with a pleasing view.
I was hungry after I checked-in, and so grateful the restaurant was right out front. The bartender was personable, professional, and had an engaging personality.
The check-in staff was courteous and kind. My room was clean and not cluttered with unnecessary frills.
I spent some time on the large couch outside of the hotel- enjoying the breeze and birding. The hotel is close to Rocky Mntn Arsenal, so I knew I'd see some birds flying over, and I did.
I was met was a prairie-mountain landscape, glowing in the setting sun when I walked around the hotel. I even added two birds to my life list- with pictures, just from the edge of the parking lot.
Breakfast served up options to suit a variety of palates.
Richard (?) the shuttle driver made the journey to the airport enjoyable. He shared some info about Denver and authentic conversation. He is an absolute gem and I wanted the drive to be just a little bit longer.
Tru delivered exactly what I was wanting to get out of this turn-around-trip. Every connection I made felt relaxed and important.
