"Lovely site in the Welsh hills with lakeside or woodland lodges that were clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a short self catering break. The check in process was very easy and they offered a pre-check in online too. Pre-warning: They did try to contact my mobile to warn about a £60 refundable damage deposit, but the mobile number was partially Xx'd out by Hotels.com Friendly staff who were helpful and accommodating. Lovely relaxing time in the hot tub, surrounded by woodland. And great value for money."

"The house is very dated, the beds were uncomfortable, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing. The listing states a hot tub and the photos show that that’s what drew us to book but upon arrival there wasn’t one ! The staff on the phone were rude when they called to complain about our parking, we wasn’t even in at the time. They didn’t even ask if everything was ok with the stay. Would I recommend it no !"

"Staff and the quality of the food were the only positives. General maintenance and cleanliness were extremely low with our room having a broken window hinge, the bin lid broken off, spit covering the bedroom mirror, the bath taps being brown around the outside, the toilet seat being the incorrect size for the toilet and the bath clearly had had a water leak that had damaged the side and not been replaced/covered. The spa was equally as bad with scum marks around the hot tubs and general lack of repair and maintenance in all areas... A toilet door lock came completely off in my hand!"

"The room was ok. The staff was neutral. What made our stay terrible was the breakfast, there was only 1 waitress for at least 8 tables, of course she was overwhelmed. The breakfast was buffet but even arriving 1 hr before it finished, didn't guarantee having a tasty breakfast; most of the dishes were gone (i.e. waffles). It was such a mess that some people opted to prepare their own breakfast with the appliances available in the breakfast bar (toaster, oven, kettle). We will never come back to this hotel."

"It is unacceptable to state that any swimming poole is available and then have the audacity to charge an additional fee for its use. The mattress was the worst I have slept on for many years."

"The Coach House is a lovely property with incredible views. The property was immaculate and lots of consideration given to travellers. The welcome pack was much appreciated and Chris could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I loved the upside down style and it did not affect the views. The house is cosy and welcoming at the end of a long day. Chris has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Chris x"
