I liked the location and the staff was very helpful. One bad thing was that I use a shampoo for colored hair which left a small and easy to wash stain on the towel. They were going to charge me 40 soles for it because they didn't know a globally-known product called Clorox.I had to pay for the laundry service.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Location little hidden away. Room was so, so.
Improvement suggestions. Better curtains light of lobby shines thru when on 1st floor.
Needs floormats in bathroom on super cold tiles. Showerhead was cracked water splashes outside on cold tiles.
Electrical plugs hard to reach. Room enetrior needs some modernization.
I stayed a week at this “hotel”. It’s more a cheap hostel in bad conditions.
They don’t change your bed sheets or even swipe the room. Poor privacy because the rooms have curtains and you can even see people in their rooms. The bathrooms are full of mold because there is not ventilation. Breakfast was two pieces of hard bread with tea, very cheap and tiring because it’s always the same. The manager was rude af, even if I booked a room for two people (I stayed my myself) she was refusing to give me an extra towel. Visitors are not allowed. Also this was the only place in all Cusco that charged 5% for paying with card. The tours they offer are very overpriced compared with other local tour companies. Finally, the hotel is loud all the time, i didn’t get a good rest because people start slamming doors and talking at 4 am when people leave to tours then the breakfast start at 6 am right next to the rooms. For your own peace of mind and a good rest, stay away from this hotel.

Paid for the King Bed Suite. On arrival, showed us to a double bed non-suite room, took 30 minutes of arguing until the non-English speaking (also said multi-lingual staff) hotel desk lady finally used google translator to say "that room is flooded and under maintenance". Only booked this hotel because of the king bed room, and absolute false advertising and lying place. And then on check in, they failed to mention that the water would be shut off until 8 pm.

Me estafaron.

Good Budget Option
With so many hotels/hostels/b&b's in Cusco, it's difficult to find a good one for a reasonable price. This hotel is in a great location just off San Blas plaza (probably the nicest 'neighbourhood' in Cusco). It's a bit of a hike up a steep hill though so be prepared. The hotel itself is nice and clean, the rooms are quite small and basic but clean. The bed was particularly uncomfortable and bathroom set-up wasn't great. But overall, for the location and price, this is a good choice.
We spent 5 nights at this hostal in Cusco and left out luggage there while we trekked to Machu Picchu - the staff were always friendly, sometimes helpful, and not versed in a lot of English which made things difficult sometimes. The breakfast was simple, the computer often broken but the facilities were clean and welcoming located at a quiet corner of the city (at the top of a hill).
Everything was great until it was time to leave, we were heading out the door at 6am for the airport when the man at the front desk refused to let us go do to an unpaid bill. I assured him I had left my credit card on file and told the others to charge the appropriate fee for all the evenings to it and already received a receipt. He spoke no English and wouldn't let us leave, which was a bit frightening (not to mention stressful with a late plane departure). He scrambled down many numbers, asked us to pay three separate prices and finally he asked for $13USD so we just gave it to him and left. The next day (and following week) I received inappropriate and rude emails from the Hostal demanding more money and seemingly pulling numbers out of nowhere.
It really ruined the experience for us, although the staff we sweet they didn't seem to ever write anything down or talk to each other to share information. We will not return here or recommend.
