The staff were great but I wish the restaurant had been open. The room was nice and the
A friendly, well located, modest but more than adequate place from which to explore Cusco. Breakfast included unlimited fresh fruit, cooked to order eggs and breads, this had the feeling of a traditional home. Excellent value.
Good location
Pleasant and helpful staff
Room was a bit chilly and an internal room is a bit loud but nothing uncomfortable
Lots of hot water
Reasonable breakfast
The property is lovely. The owner and staff are fantastic and 2 adorable dogs. The only downfall was the temperature in the rooms. Granted it was very rainy and chilly outside but a space heater would have been fantastic. Bring warm pajamas!
This is a very nice property, off the beaten path, so to speak. It’s an old but well maintained building with lots of character. If you want down-to-earth, basic necessities, this inn has them. Good location, safe, clean, extremely helpful staff and a modest breakfast is included. Its convenient location in the downtown means that there is a fair bit of traffic noise but it didn’t really affect our sleep or experience. I would stay here again if visiting Cusco another time.
Great stay at the Victorian era home which has been turned into a sort of boutique hotel. I enjoyed my time at the place. They had flexible check in and check out for a few. Only gripe was that the bathroom was not attached and required a separate key. Also, they charge for small things like an extra egg at breakfast while discounting the fact that I didn't have breakfast for 2 out of 7 days.
My recent stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. Nestled within a quick walk from the lively plaza, the welcoming and charming atmosphere immediately made me feel safe and at home. The owner's hospitality knows no bounds; being bilingual, he goes out of his way to ensure a delightful stay, whether it's scheduling a taxi or providing directions. Eric at the front desk was an absolute delight, making my experience even more enjoyable. The presence of two friendly dogs added a lovely touch to the warm ambiance.
Beyond the warm reception, the value for the price was outstanding. The attic room, in particular, felt like a home away from home, cozy and comforting. The flexibility to leave our luggage and the warm welcome upon our return were thoughtful gestures that left a lasting impression.
Furthermore, the property showcased excellent organization, safety, and cleanliness. The provision of complimentary coca tea and water 24/7 was a considerate touch, aiding in acclimatization. The Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the premises was reliable, adding to the overall convenience. Without a doubt, I look forward to revisiting this haven and reliving the wonderful experience.
Our stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster. From the moment we arrived late at night (around 11 PM), it was clear that nothing matched what we had booked.
The room we were given:
• Was not the one we reserved,
• Was dirty, with no towels provided,
• Freezing cold, with heating charged at an extra $5 (!),
• And the bathroom was in a dreadful, almost unusable condition.
We immediately went to the front desk. The staff — to be fair, polite — admitted they didn’t have the room we had booked, and simply offered us the option to leave. At midnight, that is absolutely unacceptable. With no other option, we were forced to stay the night in completely unacceptable conditions.
We checked out the next morning and booked another hotel — and the contrast was night and day: professional staff, clean rooms, excellent service. No regrets at all about leaving.
To clarify:
• Expedia refunded the first night due to the serious issues.
• The hotel itself refunded the second night — which says a lot.
The breakfast was a joke, with practically nothing to eat.
The hotel is old, poorly maintained, dirty, and should not be accepting guests in this condition.

🚫 Bottom line: avoid this place at all costs.
I’ve stayed in many hotels, and this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.
The photos and online descriptions are misleading. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
I didn’t know what to expect, but I was amazed how nice and rustic this hotel was. The staff is very nice and will go out of their ways to understand us and our pour Spanish. I recommend strongly if you want to be close to everything and don’t want to pay to much. The only downside is it’s noisy outside at night because of the traffic, but I really didn’t mind. I will book again if I come back to Cuzco.
Everyone very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Loved Sultan the owner’s dog

The staff is friendly and helpful. This property looks more like a hostel not a hotel. The bedrooms are small and have basic amenities.
I personally had some issues with the travel agency that the hotel recommended so I'd suggest other travelers to check on other local travel agencies upon arrival.
