"Einrichtung war wunderbar und unfassbar sauber, aufgeräumt und schön eingerichtet. Leider hatten wir das Gefühl inmitten einer Riesen Gruppe untergebracht zu sein die sich abends lautstark unterhalten was direkt im Blickfeld vor unserem Mobilehome war. Ansonsten war alles prima. Aber man sollte wissen dass die Nähe zum See nicht ganz so nah ist, wie es aussieht. Aber insgesamt ein tolles Konzept. Wunderschöne und saubere, moderne Anlage. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Kontakt und hilfsbereit."

Hotel Splendid

"The hotel enjoys an excellent lakeside location with direct access to a private beach, making it an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. Throughout my visit, the staff were consistently friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast offering was of a good standard. However, the availability of additional hot dishes that could be ordered was not clearly communicated, and greater visibility of these options would enhance the guest experience. There were two aspects that fell short of expectations. Firstly, the gym facilities require significant investment. Approximately half of the equipment was out of service, and the remaining equipment appeared dated and in need of replacement. In addition, guests are charged €12 per day to use the gym, which feels difficult to justify given the condition of the facilities. Secondly, the hotel applies a 5% service charge to guests' bills. This is not something I have commonly encountered at hotels. I was informed that the charge is distributed directly to the staff and, given the high standard of service I received, I was happy to pay it. However, greater transparency around this charge at the outset of a guest's stay would be appreciated."

"The hotel was lovely as were the staff. The breakfast was lovely, I ate in the wonderful outdoor bar. I also ate dinner in the restaurant and that was good too. Great facilities, very clean and beautiful rooms. The location directly around the hotel doesn’t have much to offer, but there are plenty of great places to visit within a 10 to 15 minute drive. And of course the train station is next door."

"The deluxe room was very clean and had 2 small balconies and a very comfortable bed. The view across the lake was fabulous. Air conditioning was a must as every day was the mid to upper 30’sC. The breakfast buffet was okay…fruit, yogurt etc good but I would avoid the scrambled eggs.. they seemed to be reconstituted…and, as near always in Europe, the bacon was only partially cooked. I would not recommend dinner. The pool area was very good albeit there is the usual scramble for places and music more suited to a disco rather than having a relaxing chill by the pool! Perhaps it’s my age! The staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Nice clean and quiet hotel. Located very close to the lakes edge. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good in the morning with plenty of choice. There is also an indoor pool. The absolute godsend in the hot/sticky weather was the use of the outdoor pool at the sister hotel. The hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Stresa. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a lovely walk along the lakes edge into Stresa."

"The location was perfect. Right on the lake and close to shops and restaurants as well as access to the boats for visit to the Borromean islands. The pool was right on the lake. I didn’t see any other hotel that had that nice feature. There is also an adult only rooftop pool that is warm.Breakfast was delicious. However, the beds and pillows were quite hard."
