"It was a faded beauty. Seen better days and in a sketchy area. The manager / person who checked me in was really great and he tried hard, but if you have any phobias about sticky floors and handles… I would look elsewhere. Huge plus was that the shower had great pressure and didn’t seem to fluctuate in temperature much."

"No room was not fully equiped, no one was present at the front desk. Bed sheets were filthy and had holes in the blankets. "

"I love staying here when I visit the island. It's close to the casino and everything downtown. Never have any complaints about the staff, real down to earth people. The rooms are clean and we never have trouble sleeping due to noise."

From the moment you arrive in cowichan bay to when you open your curtains to see the beautiful bay, your stay at cowichan bay suites will feel like you've teleported to a small fishing town filled with wild life and friendly people. The hotel is beautiful, cozy rooms with full kitchens. The hot tub and pool are a nice feature for after a day on the beach just steps from your patio doors. I will be making this a yearly get away!"

"The property was over priced for what it is , I had called the hotel to ask about adjusting dates due to a family emergency and the front desk person stated she would contact the manager and get back to me but I never heard anything and no mention at check in either ……. The hotel is okay but I would expect better at the rate they charge , they did however give a water bottle at check in but I’d preferred they keep the gift and charge appropriately………"
