"This hotel is in the middle of a largely residential area but the rest of the island is easily accessible via Uber/Bolt taxis at very reasonable prices. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was very good with a full choice available. It is worthwhile walking around the districts adjoining the property where there are several villages wth small bars and restaurants . We found the local people to be very friendly. Many of the buildings are very historic and beautiful."

"After spending a few days in busy, crowded Valletta, Ramla Bay Resort was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean and island views. Nice room with a big balcony, great restaurants, and a friendly staff. There are multiple swimming pools and a beach area - all with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas."

"We stayed in a penthouse for 5 days with our teenage daughter. Lots of room for all of us and fabulous facilities. We loved the hot tub on the huge balcony. The resort is in the perfect location overlooking its beautiful beach. The staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend."

"We were lucky enough to get a suite with a view of the harbor. The suite had a separate living room, so my sister and I each got our own space and separate air conditioning units. The suite was quite roomy with a lot of space. Hotel was fairly well located. We had an excellent view of Valletta and the entrance to the harbor. There were restaurants and shops close by and we were only a 10 min walk to the Ferry. This hotel was great and I would stay there again."

"This is a well appointed amazing hotel. I had no idea how large it was. It’s very efficiently run. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very clean The children’s pool with slides is perfect - we had my 2 year old granddaughter with us. Ricardos and Luzzo restaurants are particularly good. In both restaurants there are large well equipped children’s areas. We also liked the adults area especially the sky bar in the evenings and had a wonderful meal at Minoa restaurant on 11th floor with fab views over the bay. The outside area is safe and pleasant unlike many popular areas in Malta which are just shocking. AX hotel is expertly run and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this hotel"
