Premier Inn Köln City Süd
Good location, close to metro stations and only 30 minute walk from centre. Rooms are nice size and very clean however bathroom had slight mold. To get room cleaned during stay you need to request at reception.

The hotel was a disaster. The only thing working properly was the breakfast guy’s smile — clearly the hotel’s entire maintenance budget went into him. Not much of choice for breakfast, better paid outside to get more options

a&o Köln Neumarkt
Reception understaffed and slow. No heating controls in room, which was cold. Other guests sometimes noisy in the corridors and adjoining rooms.
