"OK, so it may not look as "well kept" from the outside, but this is a proper working pub with welcoming staff and great food. When it says home made - its home made :) Great selection and all the staff are really welcoming even if you do arrive a couple of hours early for check in........... Its on a busy road junction but i had a road facing room and was not woken by the noise Very near to several beaches and is really well placed to explore Bude and surrounding areas at a fraction of the cost...

"A great 13th Century property, welcoming staff very much appreciated after a 7 hour drive, lovely old dining room, lovely food, great walk out through farmlands to the rear of the Hotel down to the beach, a little strange for an Australian to be greeted by so many dogs in the Bar, but they added to the ambience!!"

"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"I have just had a lovely 2 night stay at Sunrise Guest House. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, the deco is nice and fresh and the breakfast was delicious with excellent choices! Kara was a welcoming host, very friendly but in no way intrusive. The location is perfect barely minutes walk to the town and only a few minutes away from the beautiful beach.
