"The decor was dated but okay. The room a good size, dated but sufficient. However I was not impressed with the room servicing, it had something on the floor that was left there and the shampoo bottle I used was left there as I had left it not replenished either.
The bed was not made properly.
I understood that there will be less facility due to three star status but did expect better room attendance.
I ate in the restaurant and was disappointed. The potatoes were not fresh. The rest was...

"It’s what you expect for the price. There were all the things you would need in the room including iron kettle etc. Stayed one night. No issues to report."

"This an impotant historic property with fabulous grounds but has been upgraded to a clinical level. Very clean but no soul.
Needs aome fwminine touches. Shelving, pictures, hooks etc. No retaurant facilities or breakfast. Basic but adequate"

"Second stay in the hotel, lovely room, spotlessly clean, staff are wonderful and breakfast amazing.
Resturant also very good with a varied menu I would highly recommend."

"We have just had a very lovely 3 night stay at the White Lion. The rooms were clean, well presented with a comfy bed. Breakfasts were very good. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend if you wish to stay in Hebden Bridge."

"The staff was great and it’s a beautiful venue, unfortunately there was no AC, food at breakfast ran out, the noise level from dogs, other guest and parties was intolerable. Lastly, the spa sauna was broken and the hot tub as well."
