"The hotel is inside a building with multiple different hotels within. It is IMO the best spot to be in the town of Amalfi, you are right by the town center but not in the middle of it. "The Palazzo Avino is an outstanding hotel! We had the most wonderful, relaxing vacation there! It is beautiful both inside an out with beautiful vistas from every corner, window, seat etc. My favourite part of the resort is their private beach club down by the sea. It is magnificent as well! The water is beautiful and your lounges are perch just above the sea. Remember to reserve a spot at the beach club when you arrive as there are only about 15 spots there!!!"

"The hotel is well situated on the outside of Amalfi town with good views and in a convenient location. We drove from another part of Italy and the drive was fun, although GPS isn't the best sometimes and its easy to make a wrong turn, so be prepared. The hotel is not for everyone, i would not recommend it to anyone on a budget. However, if money is not an issue for you, this is one of the better hotels. "Accessing the hotel by walking from the harbor is not for the faint of heart. My children and I were only carrying three backpacks with essentials for a weekend getaway, but it was still extremely challenging. Definitely take water, plan for it to take longer than 22 mins (HA!
