"UNBELIEVABLE! If you’re going to Ravenna, even if it’s for one night, you MUST stay here (thank me later). It’s absolutely the best Italian stay we’ve ever had! The host, Frederico, I believe, was beyond helpful. In fact, we saw some unreasonable other guests, and he did a lot more for them than I would have! His brother who owns the bar in the back (more about that later) drove us to the port. He was sooooo interesting to talk to! Actually a highlight of the trip. About the bar in the back: opened at 6:30pm. Closes sometime in November till sometime in April. We had a platter of meats, cheese, gardeneira, bread and pita. These were HIGH QUALITY. The cured ham was the BEST I’ve ever had, and cooked ham and mortadella were FANTASTIC. Very relaxing, beautiful garden, and the music was loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that you couldn’t easily talk to each other. And the Aperol spritz were soooo good! The owner knows EVERYTHING about wine! And so kind to help you in making a decision about which to drink. BTW, his wife took our food and drink order, she was soooo kind. Being American, knowing little Italian, we were apprehensive to go, but it was so wonderful. Also, shopping of ALL kinds: clothing and shoes, to wine, groceries and souvenirs were literally a block away. As well as ALL kinds of restaurants."
