"I stayed at Shoji Lake Hotel from December 25–26 and it was unforgettable. The owner welcomed us like family, taking time to chat, recommend local walks, and make sure everything was perfect. Our room had an exceptional view of Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji watching the sunrise over the mountain was a highlight. I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians).
