"I have stayed here twice. It’s a nice, comfortable room close to downtown but far enough from the loudest part of the area. Very safe location, I was able to walk around late at night without worries. The best part was the excellent service from the front desk staff. "It's a hostel, not a hotel, so if your expectations are set appropriately, this is a superb find. A bit out of town - 15 mins walk downhill into town and a $1.50 taxi ride home - but nestled at the foot of the mountains. So much nicer than the hundreds of hostels surrounded by karaoke bars near the bus station in town. Run by the nicest, most obliging family. A fabulous breakfast included. Recommended most highly."

"This place is in the heart of Banos, next to the main cathedral, close to everything, with a view of the town, and mountains around it. The place is well kept, creatively remodeled, and had very helpful staff. You will have noise from all the activity outside but the patio doors do block much of the sound when closed. If you're very sensitive to sound you might want to be further from the town center. If you want all the shops and restaurants nearby, this is the place. "
