"I’m usually pretty good with reviews. It takes very little to make me happy. The one star is because of the location, so close to downtown and very walkable. Room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 4! Had to wait to change our room. Room basic, but fine. Went to use hair dryer next day and it was broken. My husband had to go to front desk to ask for another dryer and they didn’t have one. I had to go to another room to dry my hair. We needed to leave to make another date but this delayed us. "

"The Normandy Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Stayed there now twice, we love it! Beautiful grounds pretty flowers everywhere! The staff continues to be warm and welcoming! The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are cozy! The location is perfect for visiting Carmel. "

"Great option for downtown Carmel. The location is perfect and the hotel is well maintained. Everything about the stay was great. The breakfast each morning was nice and Brophy’s Tavern is a convenient option for a quick bite or drink. The food was delicious. We definitely will be back to the hotel! "

"Freezing, no heater, basically camping, called the front desk they told me that there’s a portable in the closet but what’s in the closet is a portable air conditioner not a portable heater. Beds need to be replaced extremely uncomfortable"

"Staff was friendly and helpful. The outside seating lovely. Breakfast was great and if you don’t order a pizza and salad and sip some wine outside on that patio in front of the fire you have missed a lot"
