"The first room was ok, however the bathroom basin had cracks in it and the curtains were certainly in poor condition. On the second day there the people above us flooded their bathroom causing water to come through our ceiling, staff quickly changed us to another room and offered us a bottle of wine and 50% off our evening meal. Unfortunately this turned out to be more like 20% and as we don't drink alcohol they got off really lightly. Our second room was quiet warm and when we tried to turn on the air conditioning nothing happened, then the TV reception dropped out, the young lady tried his hardest to fix the TV but unfortunately he couldn't get the free to air channels back. We were then told there is no air conditioning any more however there was a fan in the cupboard, when we turned it on it was extremely noisy and had to turn it off again. It is a shame because this place is full of people attempting to help, but failing."

"Went during Bank holiday. I booked a room with double and single. Got bumped off which was very annoying. There is not air-conditioning and rooms can get very hot. Staff were generally good especially Matt. Breakfast was average"

"This is an old inn in the beautiful Cotswolds. We stayed in a newer annex that was clean and comfortable. There was even a outdoor sitting area to read a book or have a picnic. Carol, who served breakfast most mornings, was a organized and professional - and at the same time welcoming and folksy. My only ask is that there be a few more options for breakfast."

"Beautifully clean, large room, however, we stayed during the bank holiday heatwave and the air con wasn't working. A portable air con unit had been placed in the room but wasn’t enough for such a large space. Unable to open windows, so had a sleepless night due to the unbearable heat. Huge room, great shower and very comfortable bed. We also stayed for breakfast which was amazing! Beautiful hotel just a shame that we chose a boiling hot weekend to stay."

"Lovely hotel but very little to do. With all guests spending time at the spa there was no beds by the pool. Food was delicious but overall the experience was too expensive compared to its value."

"Helpful and friendly staff on front desk, large room, big and very comfortable bed. very central location, parking underneath hotel at £10 a night. Decoration a little tired, but absolutely brilliant value overall, I will certainly stay there again the next time I'm in Cheltenham."
