Chachapoyas is a little place, and it was nice to find a nice hotel. Aside from the neighborhood rooster, it was very peaceful and a good walking distance from the town square. Someone had clearly invested quite a bit in renovating what looked like a formerly nondescript building. It's a great base of operations for seeing the Kuelap and the other many sites in the area.
